Some people diminish all of the good things that are in their lives.
They can’t take a compliment, disregard any good fortune and are quick to downplay anything positive that happens.
Then they amplify the negative aspects of their lives.
They rapidly find things to complain about, focus on the mistakes of others and look to the future with unnecessary worry and concern.
Then there are those who choose to amplify the positive.
They count their blessings, act with gratitude and look for opportunities to talk about the wonderful things that are happening in their world.
Meanwhile, the diminish the negatives.
They shrug their shoulders when something goes wrong, don’t get too flustered by challenging situations and are quick to forgive.
Life is rarely about what happens to us, but what we choose to diminish or amplify.
